Some time there should be long time animation or it should be many bunch of layers, and you have to work with it. you can feel some complexity in work... try this.
You can change your timeline frame to smaller or bigger...
click on the small Icon at the end of time line on screen.
Normal is a default view, but you can change it...
See here that you can see preview of image, shape, text in frame window directly.
